I know it's going to sound strange, but if you take a brown marker, as light as possible, and paint the whitish lids of the loader pouches, you might be able to put some of the color back into them. The granade pouch may be on the way if you carry a backpack.

The cummerbund should sit on the top of the velcro that way the plates sit properly.....JPC has a problem if it not sized good, the back plates sits to low. So attach the velcro tube's up on the front bag

We've had them forever, whatever that means, but ours go up one sleeve across your shoulders and out the other sleeve. Unless you're going to take your jacket off in -30 degree weather, you'll never lose your mittens. I'm sure it's happened but it's cut back quite a bit. Hi Curry-

What about just the black mummy bag and bivy cover? I was not able to aquire the 3 season sleeping bag yet. I also have the tan stuff sack and hope those 2 items fit in that one 😅

I stripped the coating, thickened the handle and made a kydex sheath for it, and now I love my bk16, but it is a good knife from the factory. The sheath is probably the waekest point.

The story as I had heard it is that the poncho liner was originally intended to have a hole for your head so you can keep warm while wearing the poncho in cold rainy weather, but hey forgot to put the head hole in the blueprints. The manufacturer made a few thousand without the hole (as stated in the blueprints). These were issued out to troops nevertheless. For the second production run, they changed the blueprints to include the head hole. These were issued to the troops and they complained. They preferred it without the hole. They've been that way ever since. It all came down to troop preference.

Great video. I've been using an Esee 4 for four years now on and off but never really got on with it. Time I gave a BK16 a go I reckon.

My biggest fear is that someone used it to melt lead so I have been just passing up on the ones at sales!
